Happy Thanksgiving Raider Nation! Hopefully all of you had a feast as grand as the boys varsity had at the Lovett School on Saturday, walking away stuffed in a 53-39 victory. Defense was the main course on Saturday, as the Raiders played a full court press that suffocated Lovett, rendering their offensive playmakers useless. Off of the press, the boys converted steals into easy fast break points and got off to a good start, with the 1st quarter finishing 18-2, Raiders. Junior Cole Morris protected the paint extremely well, stopping Lovett’s big men despite a size difference. Sophomore Landon Hong made the most of his minutes, having 2 points, but more importantly diving on loose balls and running the offense. After some time off, the varsity girls look to add to their 2-0 start at Forsyth Central on Friday at 6 PM, followed by the boys at 7:30 PM. The teams need everyone in Raider Nation out in Cumming Friday to cheer them on!
