What a great weekend of basketball for our Program.

We had 2 teams finish in the Sweet 16 and 3 teams make the Elite 8 round. Each had tough battles where we showed our program’s competitiveness at very high level.

In the Sweet 16, our 6G girls fell to a tough Number 1 seed in North Paulding.

In the Sweet 16, our 7B boys played a tough first half against a really good Number 1 seeded Campbell team and were within striking distance. This Campbell team defeated Marietta easily in the next round and is most likely going all the way.

In the Elite 8, our 6B boys had Number 1 seed River Ridge on the ropes, but were beaten by just a few possessions or could have advanced to the Final Four round.

We have two of our teams that made the final Four . . .

Our 7G girls upset a Number 1 seed, which is also an archrival and the 2019-2020 defending CCJBC Champions from last year in Pope 7G.

Our 8B boys upset Number 1 seed Creekview. Our boys led the entire game and never looked back. Creekview tried a late game comeback, but our boys held them off and took the win.

Please come out this weekend to support our two remaining teams playing at Pope High School. They really could use your support and energy to help get to the finals.

Let’s show the rest of the CCJBC how Our Program supports each other with a great turnout.
